I've been designing for roughly 16 years and actually getting paid for it for the last nine. After I graduated from college, I went to work for my alma mater and spent just under four years there as webmaster and director of publications. Besides maintaining the website, I designed postcards, posters, holiday cards, promotional material, newspaper ads, and whatever else they could think of to throw at me.

I've taken several master's level classes at the Savannah College of Art and Design, but the majority of what I know has been learned from experience or independent study.

I worked for a time at Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration as a Marketing Communications Specialist, liaising with engineers to update specification sheets for our products, designing advertisements, and updating the website for their Kysor/Warren brand.

I'm currently helping out at the family business and taking on freelance work on the side. If there's anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to contact me!

A few other facts:

  • Most people call me Cathy.
  • I'm from Montgomery, Ala.
  • I'm a perfectionist.
  • I write my own code in a text editor.
  • I have a degree in English literature.
  • I'm a stickler for proper grammar and punctuation (see above).
  • I love to travel.
