I left work at about a quarter to five and started walking to the subway. I went down the steps, walked across to the turnstiles, and attempted to go through. Know what I forgot to do?

Swipe my metro card.

So instead of walking through the metal bar, it stopped me dead in my tracks. That's right, I've reached a new low in stupidity. Or memory lapse, whichever. Seriously, I just zoned out. Like I was in that mindset of leaving the subway where you don't swipe to go through. And it doesn't help matters that I couldn't remember the word "turnstile" and had to call Ellie for help.

Yeah, I felt like an idiot.
