I just finished watching Dogville. Basically, the whole thing made me sick, but the last 10 minutes redeems it just enough.

I've been keeping an eye on apartment listings on craigslist for the last few weeks. I've hated not being able to do more in preparation of moving, but there's really nothing available more than a month in advance. But I saw one that was too perfect to pass up, at least on paper, so I emailed the broker to ask about seeing it. If all works out, I will tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath or anything, but the ad says it's two blocks from Queens Plaza, 2 bedrooms, pet-friendly, and in my price range of $1200. So if it's a nice apartment (as I said, not holding my breath), I might be willing to go ahead and get it rather than miss out on something. We'll see.

Brannon, the future roomie, is coming in on this Sunday to visit for a week, and she's set to move up here on September 5. I can't wait. I get Brannon AND my cat. How awesome is that?

And in other news, I'm still devoted to my plan of going to SCAD for grad school, but now I'm wavering on my choice of programs. Graphic design or art history? I like both in theory. I requested volunteer information from the Met. I figured that might help me decide if art history is really something I want to pursue. But for some reason, they still use postal mail for everything, so I have to wait on that.

I found out at work today that we get off at 1 on Friday AND have Monday and Tuesday off. Score.
