4/21/2006 I can't decide if I was more or less productive this week with Liz gone. I spent more time at my desk, but more time playing, too. Maybe it evened out. But she'll be back for next week, so who cares. I discovered that there's a huge Barnes & Noble literally one block down from my office, so I went there yesterday after work and bought about $75 worth of books. Good times. Now I need to update my Amazon wishlist for my birthday. I keep forgetting that it's coming up. The Container Store is my new heaven. I went in this week to find some things to help organize my room, especially my desk, and fell in love. It's like a toy store for organization freaks. I love it. On my way home from Ellie's last night, I walked to the subway stop I normally use (but haven't recently) and got completely freaked out when I saw it was a 1 stop and not the R. I hadn't used that route in so long, apparently, the forgot I have to take the 1 to Times Square and switch to the R to get home. I actually thought, "Did they change the station?! WTF?!" I'm not kidding. I felt retarded when I realized what was going on. Which I didn't until I called Ellie to ask if I'd somehow entered the Twilight Zone. I reeeaaaallllly want to leave early today. I need to go to Payless (I've been told there's a two-story one at 34th and 6th; multi-story places like Barnes and Payless still intrigue me, not gonna lie) and stop at the post office, and then sleeeeeep! Beautiful, beautiful sleep. I also get to watch some TV I missed this week, finish Walk The Line, go to Ellie's roommate's birthday party, and have a student photographer take pictures of Ellie and me for a project. Relatively busy weekend for me. By the way, Melanie, I dreamed that I came home to my apartment in Montgomery and you'd moved in. Very weird. I also dreamed my kitty was there waiting for me. :( Sadness. Okay... it's about time for lunch. Maybe by the time I'm finished, the afternoon will look a little more doable. We'll see. posted 12:34 PM / post
I can't wait for you to come back, but I doubt I will be in your old apartment.
