For someone who was an English major, I sure do have the hardest time making myself write in this thing. I can't decide if it's just that I don't like it or if it's just the procrastination thing. Mostly, I think it's that it seems like more effort than it's worth because I rarely have anything important to say. And I think Don just put a hole in his trashcan with a power drill...

Sorry, I'm posting from work. Random observation. Anyway.

I had a lovely three-hour family dinner last night. Yes, three hours. Our family dinners generally take that long. Anyone who's met my family will understand. But fortunately, I was in a relatively good mood and was able to enjoy most of it. I did get bored at times... But not irritated, and that's always an improvement.

Here's a couple of random facts about myself that occurred to me today. Maybe you'll learn something. First, I'm the kind of girl who won't leave the house without make-up (I mean, EVER), but it only takes me 20-30 minutes to get ready in the morning. I get up at 7:15 and leave around 7:45. And second, when I do the daily deposit at work, I organize the checks by size, always. Well, that makes some sense, you might say. Ah, but I don't arrange by dollar amount. But by the physical size of the check. Tall in the back, short in the front, etc. Yeah, I'm odd.

I have a tiny dent in the side of my car and three or four scrapes in the paint (nothing serious), that covers a length of about 1 foot. And my estimate for repair is $1100. How crazy is that? And there's a $500 deductible. That's not even worth $500 to me. I have to call and make the appointment tomorrow so I can hopefully take it in Monday, but I think I'll check with dad first and make sure he's paying the deductible. 'Cause I don't want to get stuck with that at the last minute... Ugh.

And one more random thing before I go... the waitress at dinner last night told me that I reminded her of Christina Ricci. Which is weird. And someone else has told me that before. But I don't see it.
