6/6/2001 I saw Moulin Rouge tonight. I must say that it's probably one of the best I've ever seen. As a rule, I can't stand movies with sad endings. But in this case, it was different. The death didn't take me by surprise this time, since the movie makes pretty damn sure you know it will happen, just within the first five minutes of the movie. So without the suspense, it was much easier to enjoy.On another note, Charlie made me switch cars with him tonight. I couldn't quite fathom his reasoning, but he's going out of town tomorrow, and I think he figured I'd use less gas than he would tonight.. Which is probably true, since I think my car had more than a quarter of a tank, and it's gone now. In any case, he'll be gone tomorrow morning, and my world will return to normal. ^_^ Instead of working at Sommer's Place (a restaurant) like I had planned, I'm now working for my dad. On the same project he brought up about.. I don't know, four years ago? Only now, he's actually giving me the info I need to do the job. Which is build a website for the company. Fortunately, he doesn't want an online catalog right now. If he did, I'd probably kill myself before the summer is through. On the bright side, I'll have made about $1200 by the time I start school, so.... ^_^ posted 1:06 AM / post
